Job Description

Brief Description of Duties

 

Applicant will act as a confidential secretary to the Superintendent of Schools; assists the Superintendent with various office tasks and Board of Education materials and events; prepares agendas for all meetings the Superintendent conducts; serves as office manager; opens, prepares, and distributes all correspondence; maintains accurate and perpetual records for the Superintendent; maintains all daily correspondence for the Superintendent; key liaison to district staff and community members; ability to frequently interface with the public; strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong attention to detail; is organized and proactive; and performs a variety of related tasks as required or assigned; serves as the interface between the Superintendent and the School Board members on correspondence, inquiries, and requests of information; manages all activities related to Board of Education meetings and work sessions, including but not limited to: developing the agenda, preparing and distributing board packets and all required information prior to meetings, preparing meeting room arrangements; maintains the district website related to the Board of Education by uploading meeting agendas and minutes, maintains and updates the district policy manual, and takes notes and prepares official minutes

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS     

5+ years administrative experience handling confidential information.

Strong interpersonal, service-oriented, organizational, financial, and computer skills.  Demonstrated ability to multitask routine and urgent matters, work independently, and meet and manage deadlines. Ability to communicate professionally with district stakeholders, and deal with challenging situations in a positive manner.

Minimum qualifications

Five years responsible office experience in public agency or private business and a minimum of two years in a position as a specified confidential employee.

Salary

Minimum Salary: $45,000, commensurate with experience

Minimum District Clerk Stipend: $6,000, commensurate with experience
